Gustave Kaitz, born in 1913 and passed away in 1992, was a talented artist who received his education in painting from Cooper Union's School of Art and philosophy from Brooklyn College. By the time he was just 22 years old, Kaitz had opened his own art studio in Manhattan, where his passion for both disciplines, art and philosophy, inspired his creative process. His original Art Deco pieces were sold in popular department stores such as Gimbel's and Fortunoff, as well as prestigious galleries in Greenwich Village. Kaitz's work was known for its unique style, incorporating various media such as watercolors, pastels, and pencil on board to create bold and innovative pieces that captured the essence of the times.
