Born in Northern England in 1937, Hallam showed early artistic talent. He had an affinity, a similarity of characteristics suggesting a relationship, especially a resemblance in structure to the 19th century French Post-Impressionists - Cezanne and Van Gogh.
In 1973, Hallam moved to the United States settled in New England and dedicated himself completely to painting. He established his first studio in Boston, and in 1981 opened a studio on Nantucket Island.
Kerry Hallam's work has been acclaimed by galleries worldwide, being displayed in exhibitions across major cities such as Paris, London, Tokyo, New York, Beverly Hills, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. It has also been highlighted in numerous newspaper and magazine publications, as well as featured in PBS television specials.
